On Monday 6th of July, an North Humberside Hospital was invaded by a strange alien monster. Eyewitness accounts say that it was composed of a sticky, jelly-like substance, smelling faintly of limes. It roamed the main administration building for several hours, leaving a trail of icing sugar, before finally being defeated by members of the Computer Support and Information departments. So far their only statements concerning the battle have been along the lines of "Yum yum!", "Slurp!" and "Delicious!". It is hoped that they will give a fuller account when they have recovered from their ordeal.
Meanwhile, the questions still remain: where did this creature come from, and how did it get into the hospital? We now have a live interview with one of the computer support team who, it is rumoured, may be able to shed some light on the mystery.
"Who me? Computer Support? I'm a Marine Biologist, I tell you!"
"So you don't know how the creature got into the hospital?"
"Of course not. I wasn't there. Anyway, if it had been me, I would have been seen sneaking suspiciuosly around, carrying a sinister-looking plastic bag smelling faintly of limes."
"But you were seen..."
"Ha ha! Quite impossible! I was wearing a disguise."
"Thank you very much. So it appears that the mystery must, for now at any rate, remain just that - a mystery."
And now for some news just in. A villain has escaped from prison by helicopter,
Police say they set up roadblocks, but can't understand how he evaded
them. Goodnight.
